Freelancer Scott Kersnar writes and consults for a variety of assignments, ranging from feature articles to white papers to first-draft wordsmithing on an emergency basis.

Former editor of Mortgage Technology magazine and long-time technology correspondent for the National Mortgage News, Scott spearheaded tracking the development of transaction-capable mortgage websites and authored numerous mortgage technology research reports highlighting the development of loan origination systems and other technology advances. After extensive consultations with industry technology leaders as to the criteria for excellence in mortgage technology, he created MT’s prestigious awards program.

A former Realtor, Scott authored Net Success: How Real Estate Agents Use the Internet, published by O’Reilly and Associates published in 1995.  Scott also wrote on Web resources for foreign investors in U.S. real estate for the Asian and European editions of the Wall Street Journal.

Scott has authored a number of plays, including two about problems of inherited wealth commissioned by Shaking the Tree Interactive for January 2011 performance (in English) in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. He holds an MA in English literature from Stanford University.

Rick Grant is the founder and current president of RGA Public Relations, Inc., the company he founded as Rick Grant & Associates in early 2007 to provide businesses with customized strategic communications solutions. He began writing about the U.S. mortgage industry in 1997 as Special Reports Editor for National Mortgage News.

Rick’s articles have been featured in national newspapers, magazines and online publications and he is recognized as one the first bloggers in the financial services industry. He is frequently featured in the financial industry’s top publications as a contributing writer and is often asked to share his expertise by speaking at national conferences and hosting seminars.

Prior to launching RGA, Rick founded Jim Thorpe, Penn.-based Texell Interactive Media, a production company delivering electronic audio and video content for Web-based marketing. He has been an audio/video producer for many years. He has produced video programming for a Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) affiliate in Springfield, Missouri, and hosted a live radio show for a number of years. Additionally, Rick was a crew member for several film projects, most notably in 1999 as Line Producer for Empty Places, an independent short film produced in New York City.

Rick lives in Oregon, Wisconsin (Madison area) with his wife Lysa, a photographer and alpaca rancher. They have three children.
